extreme weather

Melbourne is battling with temperatures over 40C all this week. If the forecast turns out as predicted, it will be the hottest week the city has seen in 101 years.

It reached 43C  in the past hour, and tomorrow they expect to see 44C in and around the city.

I have drunk cups of coffee colder than that.

Personally, the air-conditioning – and the fact that I am 1,700km (1,000 miles) north in BrisVegas – means I’m missing this record-breaking heat.

Thank god. You know how awful warm red wine tastes.
