Churchill Fellowship onboarding

It was a full and exciting two days in Canberra last week, immersed in all things Churchill Fellowship with my fellow 2024 Churchill Fellows – all 108 of us!

Our onboarding started with a welcome dinner and networking event. Our key note speaker was the inspiring Katrina Marson who spoke powerfully about the need for consent education in schools.

Our second day was full of useful conversations, great speakers with hints and tips about how to get started. From stakeholder management to systems thinking, from media 101 to mindfulness, we were equipped with the tools we will need to prepare for our journeys.

It was great to reconnect with my old Red Cross colleague, Loren Tuck, who will be travelling to Iceland and other countries to investigate international examples of regional hydrogen, clean energy and STEM education centres.

Lots to do, many connections to be established and lots of coffee and Zoom catchups to be scheduled, before I can set my travel plans in motion!
